A NOTE FROM VALERIE:

For 16 years, I watched Alzheimer’s disease slowly steal my grandmother. When she could no longer speak, I vowed to become her voice: to carry her lineage, to fight for a cure, to share her story.

In 2012, I created Memories Live Within The Heart to do just that. The piece has since been performed at national dance festivals and Alzheimer’s Association events, and had its New York City Premiere on July 14, 2016.
